weekend assignment

so, i have to write a poem for english class about a moment of extreme that i have experienced. i can come up with a pretty good list of the top of mt head but here you go:




frozen in time.

your cocoa-colored orbs had more depth to them,
this i knew- this they could not comprehend.
your lip twitched at their corners,
only for me- they could not see.
you were cold to them, reserving your warmth for me.
as days stretched to years, we had acquired something everyone wanted-
a friend.

now, your eyes never-before were so piercing.
your smile never-before looked so crooked.
you never-before scarred me so bad.

time slowly began to pick up the broken pieces,
and i'll be on my way soon enough.
